New technologies for your business transformation
Hands-on, experiential learning
TransformTECH is not just another technology conference. In an interactive, experiential environment, your journey through the exciting world of new technologies and innovation in the context of your business. You will leave with a pretotype (a working prototype) for your business transformation.
Explore AI, IoT, robotics, blockchain and the new frontiers of computing
Maybe you could design new products with artificial intelligence (AI)? Deliver new customer experiences using the Internet of Things (IoT)? Or boost efficiency/safety with intelligent robotics or blockchain? You'll get up to speed on these exponentially improving technologies, you will learn how to select the most appropriate ones to enable digitization, assess the impact on your business and how you can harness their power.
New session “Frontiers of Computing”
Computing - and its inception in the modern computer - is perhaps the single most important invention of the 20th century. It has transformed almost every aspect of our lives, from our leisure to our health and of course our professional endeavours. All of it driven by the remarkable power we can pack in tinier and tinier silicon chips. As we now contemplate the end of Moore’s law, we pause to reflect on these remarkable achievements and highlight emerging technologies such as Quantum Computing. What lies beyond our current computing paradigm is perhaps the most strategic technological question of the 21st century.
Innovation and design-thinking methodologies
Using an innovation methodology, you'll move from identifying a business challenge which could be solved by technology to creating a pretototype which provides the solution. You will follow a step-by-step approach and be inspired by examples from many industries.
The combined expertise of IMD and EPFL
The program brings together the innovation and technology expertise of two top schools: IMD business school and EPFL (Ecole polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne), one of the two Swiss federal institutes of technology.
