IMD is committed to fostering the growth in diversity through our merit and need-based MBA scholarships, which are awarded to candidates who have applied for and accepted an offer to join the IMD MBA program.

Financial Need Scholarships
Financial Need Scholarships - up to CHF 30K
- Deadline to apply : 2 weeks after your admissions application
- Criteria : Proven financial need, good academic results, strong reference letters, and steady career progression
- Submit the IMD MBA Financial Aid Form and supporting documents
- Recipients confirmed on an ongoing basis
IMD MBA Scholarships that require supporting documents
- Deadline to apply : 1 May
- Criteria : Demonstrate corporate governance and ethics values based on your essay response to the case study 'Hollinger and the Downfall of Conrad Black'.
- Essay: "What, in your view, were the failings in the Hollinger corporate governance system? What personal learnings have you drawn from your analysis of the case study? (750 words)
- Submit the IMD MBA Financial Aid Form and supporting documents
- Recipient confirmed by 26 June
- Deadline to apply : 1 July
- Criteria : Be a citizen of Latin America (excluding Brazil) and return for at least three years after graduation. The scholarship will be transformed into a loan should the candidate not return to Latin America.
- Essay : "The role of entrepreneurs in moving my country forward and my contribution to that goal." (750 words)
- Submit the IMD MBA Financial Aid Form and supporting documents
- Recipient confirmed by 26 August
- Deadline to apply : 1 July
- Criteria : Preference given to a female engineer from, and living in, an emerging market (Hilti Employees are not eligible)
- Essay : "Construction is one of the biggest sectors globally. Its scale, ambition and competitiveness pushes suppliers to be highly innovative. Yet these companies are not seen as attractive employers for women. What can they do to change that perception?" (750 words)
- Submit the IMD MBA Financial Aid Form and supporting documents
- Recipient confirmed by 26 October
- Deadline to apply : 1 September
- Criteria : Preference given to women from developing countries (Employees of Nestlé or its subsidiaries are not eligible).
- Essay : "Building a diverse and inclusive workplace requires the participation and accountability of each member of the organization. What would you recommend as ways for Nestlé to better foster allyship amongst employees?" (750 words)
- Submit the IMD MBA Financial Aid Form and supporting documents
- Recipient confirmed by 26 October
- Deadline to apply: 1 September, 2022
- Criteria: Priority will be given to female candidates who have experienced the hardship of being forced to leave their homeland due to conflict or natural disaster, or because they were persecuted for their beliefs.
- Essay: "Tell us, how, as a displaced woman, an MBA at IMD will be transformative for you and indirectly for other women." (500 words)

- Recipient confirmed by 26 October
IMD MBA Scholarships for best all-round applicants
These scholarships are awarded to the best all-round applicants who meet the additional criteria. No scholarship application is necessary, however recipients are typically those with a high GMAT/GRE score, who clearly demonstrate qualities such as career progress, an international outlook, an open mind and strong interpersonal skills throughout their application and assessment day. Recipients are confirmed at the time of the admissions offer.

Create our Future scholarships
The winner of each of our Assessment Challenges will be awarded a scholarship. With the exception of the CO-RO Challenge, please note that applicants from these challenges are not eligible for our regular Admissions Process in the same year.
We are looking for applicants who demonstrate leadership and potential, have solid previous experience and achievements, and have the drive and capacity to think out of the box and make a positive impact in the world.
