Knut Haanaes - Lundin Chair Professor of Sustainability

Professor Knut Haanaes is the Lundin Chair Professor of Sustainability at IMD. Recent former positions include Dean of the Global Leadership Institute at the World Economic Forum and Senior Partner at The Boston Consulting Group where he founded the BCG global sustainability initiative.

At IMD he teaches in many of the key programs, including the MBA, EMBA and Leading Sustainable Business Transformation program. His research interests are related to strategy, digital transformation and sustainability. In the area of strategy, he focuses on strategy styles, corporate renewal and business models.

James Henderson - Professor of Strategic Management

James E. Henderson is Professor of Strategic Management at IMD. Prior to joining IMD, he was an Associate Professor of Strategic Management at Babson College and Babson School of Executive Education, based in Boston, MA. His areas of special interest are: Strategy under uncertainty, Competitive strategy, Corporate strategy, Strategy execution.

Professor Henderson helps companies achieve and sustain their competitive advantage either at a business unit, corporate or global level through directing custom specific executive programs, facilitating strategy workshops, or teaching MBAs and executives

David Bach

Political economy expert David Bach brings to IMD a proven track record of creating impactful learning journeys in a dual role as both Professor and Dean. Through his award-winning teaching and writing, Bach helps managers and senior executives develop a strategic lens for the nexus of business and politics. 

Julia Binder

Julia Binder specializes in the intersection between sustainability and innovation. Her research and teaching explore the processes, strategies and mechanisms that allow entrepreneurs and managers to combine economic, social and environmental impact in their businesses.

Frédéric Dalsace

Frédéric Dalsace is a Professor of Marketing and Strategy at IMD. He has more than 10 years of experience in the business world, both with industrial companies (Michelin and CarnaudMetalbox), and as a strategy consultant with McKinsey & Company.

Vanina Farber

Vanina Farber is an economist and political scientist specializing on social innovation, entrepreneurship and corporate social responsibility, with almost twenty years of teaching, researching and consultancy experience.

Susan Goldsworthy

Susan Goldsworthy OLY is Affiliate Professor of Leadership and Organizational Change at IMD with more than 20 years of corporate experience in large multinationals, (Japanese, American and European), where she held senior executive positions.

Natalia Olynec

Natalia Olynec is the Head of Sustainability at IMD, where her work focuses on research, program development, strategy, governance, reporting and advisory. She has worked in sustainability management, consulting and education for more than 15 years.

 

Karl Schmedders

Karl Schmedders is Professor of Finance at IMD. His research focuses on quantitative methods in finance. He applies numerical solution techniques to complex economic and financial models shedding light on relevant market issues and industry problems. 

Michael Yaziji

Professor Yaziji directs, teaches, researches, and consults in leadership, strategy, change management, NGO-corporate relations, stakeholder management, and ethics.
